The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted education in quite remarkable ways, ways that would have been perhaps unthinkable even just a couple of months ago. With schools, colleges and universities almost entirely closed and exams cancelled and there has been a dramatic shift to online teaching for many. Indeed, the number of students worldwide now being taught at home is estimated at over 770 million.
