UK recruitment sector activity levels fell sharply as Covid-19 lockdowns were implemented by governments around the world in March 2020, with many industry commentators referring to this fall in activity as being the most severe in a generation. However, the downturn in recruitment was short and sharp, reaching its nadir in June 2020 when employer confidence, job postings, and hiring activity all bottomed out.
