Cavendish is pleased to announce that it has advised IT and Oracle services provider, Symatrix, on its sale to Applications Software Technology (AST), a leading digital transformation solutions provider. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.

Symatrix is a specialist in Oracle HCM, ERP & SCM cloud consulting and application management, with outsourced payroll expertise. The business has demonstrated double-digit growth in recent years, strengthening its presence in the public sector and central government.

The acquisition of Symatrix will bolster AST’s global expansion. Its established UK customer base will enhance AST’s vertical expertise across numerous industries and provides a platform to further expand in emerging sectors. The deep consulting capabilities of Symatrix will also expand AST’s capabilities across Oracle Cloud Applications, including Supply Chain and Human Capital Management.

Following the transition, Chris Brooks, CEO of Symatrix, and the leadership team will remain in their roles with a renewed focus on expanding the UK customer base with a new suite of offerings and delivery geographies from AST.

This deal is another significant addition to Cavendish’s expanding list of consulting and HR-tech services deals, and marks strong deal flow in the wider Business Services team following the firm’s recent sale of Perkbox, a leading provider of employee benefits solutions.

The transaction team comprised Andrew Jeffs, Head of Business Services, Mike Dinsdale and Harry Radburn.
