Cavendish is pleased to announce that it has advised Peter Bennett, co-founder of Timothy James Consulting, on the sale of his substantial shareholding in his business. The deal was effected as a management buyout, led by his fellow shareholder Chris O’Connell and supported by investment from Hamilton Bradshaw, the private equity business of James Caan, one of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs.
Cavendish was appointed in Spring 2011 to assist in the identification of a third party that could provide on-going support to one of the founders as well as a financial exit for the other founder, Peter Bennett, who was wishing to divest his shareholding. Recognising their strong presence in the recruitment marketplace as well as their suitability as a potential funder, Cavendish approached James Caan in early summer with a view to agreeing a structured deal that met the objectives of the two co-founders.
Peter Bennett, co-founder of Timothy James commented: “I was delighted with the service that Cavendish offered and their real attention to detail.”
